Submiting a primer analysis

[Q]What is the GC-Clamp field?
[A]This parameter specifies the number of consecutive Gs and Cs at the 3' end of both the left and right primer.
[Q]What are the Max Self-complementarity and 3' Self-complementarity fields?
[A]These parameters establish a score threshold used by Primer3 to evaluate if a primer has a tendency to anneal with itself. For more information check the Primer3 Input Help.

Handling reports

[Q]When I print a report why won't I see the coloured identity pattern?
[A]Internet browsers won't print the background colour of tables by default. Therefore, the user has to enable this feature. In Internet Explorer, go to "Internet Options" and select the option "Print background colours and images" on the "Advanced" tab.
[Q]What is the best way to store my reports?
[A]Since the reports are HTML encoded, it is possible to save them to a single HTML file by simply using the "Save As" command in browsers. Another possibily is to print them to a PDF file using a suitable program as the PDFCreator.
